Macintosh Support |
AITech Scan Converters are our only products that have some degree of compatibility with Macintosh models. Below you will find a list of Mac models know to work with our scan converters, as well as a list of Monitor models know to work with the scan converters.
Some of our scan converter models are sold as Mac compatible and come with necessary adapters. In most cases you can purchase the Macintosh Adapter Kit from our sales staff.
Compatibility Issues
There are three issues involved with compatibility with the Mac. First is the output scan frequency of the Mac. Our older scan converters require that the computer supply the refresh rate at 60 Hz. Many Macs are set at 67 Hz. Our current line of scan converters should take care of this issue with their capability of accepting scan rates up to 85 Hz. The second issue is that of the physical connectors - you may need an adapter to connect the scan converter to the Mac and another one to connect your monitor to the scan converter. Lastly is the issue of the monitor itself. Some of the Mac monitors will not work when attached to the scan converter.
