Installing the
MultiPro 2000 and Mouse
The MultiPro 2000 is
totally plug-and play. There is no need to install drivers. Just follow these
steps:
- Turn off your computer.
- Disconnect the VGA
cable (from your monitor) at the VGA-out port on the rear of your computer.
- Connect the 15-pin D
connector of the included VGA cable to the VGA-out port on your PC, and the
8-pin Mini-DIN connector to the VGA-in port on the MultiPro 2000. You may
choose to connect the VGA cable of your PC monitor to the TO MONITOR port on
the MultiPro 2000 for simultaneous display.
- Choosing either the RCA
or the 4-pin S-Video cable, connect one end to the VIDEO or S-VIDEO port on
the MultiPro 2000 and the other end to the VIDEO IN or S-VIDEO IN port on
your TV. Simultaneous Video and S-Video display is possible for most PCs or
notebooks. Note: Take care not to mix this cable up with the 6-pin mouse
cable, and never force the plug into the port - you may break the pins by
doing so. AITech will not be responsible for broken pins on the cables and
in the unit.
- Plug one end of the
6-pin mouse cable to the PS/2 mouse port on the side of the MultiPro 2000
and the other end to the PS/2 mouse port on your PC. (Never connect or
disconnect the PS/2 mouse cable while your PC is turned on. You can damage
your motherboard.)
- Plug in the power
adapter.
- Power on your PC.
- Press RESET on the
MultiPro 2000 or the IR Remote Mouse Control to ensure default settings are
functioning.
Using the Remote Mouse:
There are a total of 13
functional buttons - and 3 non-functional buttons.
Hold the Remote Mouse with
your index finger at the trigger button under the Remote, and your thumb on the
large mouse cursor control in the center of the top panel. Always remember
to point the front of the Remote at the MultiPro 2000. The Remote will work up
to 30 feet from the MultiPro 2000.
Buttons:

If the Remote Mouse
does not function, check the following:
- Battery
- Mouse Cable and
connections, (turn off PC first) then restart the computer.
